John Lennon who had been murdered on 8th December 1980 provided the christmas number one, unfortunately the year ended with more bad news as starting over was replaced at the top spot by st Winifreds School choir and there's no one quite like Grandma. This terrible tune makes it in to our worst ones of the eighties list.
